Avalon
As a young woman in tech, I am interested to hear other YPs (not just women 🙂) views on this topic! Do you feel under-represented in the industry? Do you think you have access to equal opportunities? Or maybe you think this is an old topic? Vivien Boche
Hey Avalon, thanks for opening up the channel. I think it is still a highly relevant topic. I do not feel in comparison to my older colleagues that women are unrepresented in the industry but things are changing. However, I would love to have an exchange or meet up with different women from the industry. So if more would be up for it we might organise something in the new year?
Yassy S
Hey, Love this topic! Similarly to Vivien I don't feel underrepresented and working in HR technology the majority of my customers and stakeholders are usually women so I have grown up professionally in an environment that is dominated by women and I feel so lucky to have had that opportunity. Saying that I do still appreciate that there are areas where women are underrepresented (eg. the more technical / data driven part of the practice I sit in) and I think a big driver of that is getting more women involved in coding and STEM earlier on. I know there are many charities and organisations that have this objective as well so maybe partnering up with them and hosting a joint exchange / meet up could be worthwhile?
